FRIDGE FREESTYLN’ EP.6 @dannygrubs
THE DISH:
Baked Pork-chop on Corn Fried Rice with Tomato Sauce
PRIMARY INSPO
-Danny is known on socials at giving chefs outrageous budgets (high or low) or unique ingredients to create a dish so I wanted to take that on as a challenge
-We shot a video last time where he challenged me to make a dish with $10 so I wanted to challenge myself using that same budget & a supermarket I never have gone before to dictate my dish
SECONDARY INSPO
-I love how all the chefs in Danny’s videos try to push the boundaries of their budgets & elevate the ingredients. I wanted to take that same idea & push the boundaries making a dish that uses humble ingredient’s but looks & tastes like a million bucks
-Growing up, baked pork chop on rice is a classic blue collar cantonese diner dish & wanted to share this dish with Danny who never had the dish before
