FRIDGE FREESTYLN’ EP.23 @kenty_cooks
THE DISH:
Japanese Risotto
Broccoli Bacon Sauce
Fried Sausage, Wasabi Sansho Crisp
Unagi, Kewpie, Mustard
PRIMARY INSPO
-Kenty (Takehito Takeuchi) is one of Japans most loved creators but also in the world. He makes tasty Japanese food with everyday ingredients. I wanted to create a dish that turns the typical Japanese items into a Western dish representing him as a creator
-I love Kenty’s video style of asmr as well as the equipment he uses. I wanted to replicate that style & use the same equipment (specifically the “Kenty Machine” cook top)
SECONDARY INSPO
-Kenty is an avid runner! He runs daily & does marathons. I wanted to make a dish that was carb heavy so that he could fuel up for his run that day/next morning
-Kenty has a great story & I got a chance to learn about it. He has many layers & one of his life goals is actually what he is doing now; making people happy through content. I wanted to build many layers of flavors in this dish & have variety of textures to represent him & hope to make him smile with the food like he hopes with his content
