Primary Inspiration
- Kenty (Takehito Takeuchi) is one of Japan’s most loved creators — globally known for his delicious Japanese recipes using everyday ingredients.
- I wanted to reinterpret classic Japanese elements into a Western-style dish to reflect his cross-cultural appeal and creativity.
- His ASMR cooking style and the iconic “Kenty Machine” cooktop inspired me to recreate the vibe and tools in this dish’s development.
Secondary Inspiration
- Kenty is an avid runner and marathoner — I created a carb-forward dish to help fuel his training and recovery.
- After hearing Kenty’s story, I was inspired by his layered journey and his goal of spreading happiness through content. I mirrored this in the dish with layers of flavor, texture, and comfort — all meant to bring joy.
