Primary Inspiration
- Danny is known for giving chefs wild budgets or odd ingredients to cook with, so I took that challenge to heart.
- In our previous video together, he gave me a $10 budget—this time I wanted to stick to that same challenge and shop at a grocery store I’ve never been to before to dictate the dish.
Secondary Inspiration
- I love how chefs in Danny’s videos always stretch their budgets and elevate everyday ingredients. I wanted to do the same—take humble items and make them taste and look like a million bucks.
- Growing up, baked pork chop over rice was a blue-collar Cantonese diner staple. Danny had never tried it before, so I wanted to share that experience with him.
