Pan Fried Pork Buns | Sheng Jian Bao 生煎包⁣⁣

Directly translated to “Raw Fried Buns” these tasty guys are an iconic dish originating from Shanghai

It’s the combo of the juicy umami filling with the crunchy pan-friend bottoms that make this so insanely good

If you like Xiao Long Bao, these are its’ crispy crunchy cousin

I’ve taken the traditional version and kept the filling authentic but gave the recipe a quick hack using store-bought pizza dough for the wrapper and also not doing the traditional folding with pleats but using a simpler method👌🏼⁣

I wanted to show a quick easy version for when we are feeling lazy, and don’t want to do everything from scratch and to give you guys some inspiration for using everyday ingredients or items

Plus, the end result is BOMB and delicious which is really what matters most

Makes 16-20 Buns⁣

Healthier Version:⁣
🔺Use ground chicken/turkey⁣
🔺Use a sweetener vs sugar⁣
🔺Use cooking spray vs oil⁣

These changes reduce calories by 760 calories alone!⁣
