minutesMy grandfather did a lot of the cooking at home growing up. I mean, he did a lot of other stuff at home also but easily he was the resident chef
This is one of the many recipes my grandfather would make!
The name is derived from the ratios that make up the recipe of 1:2:3:4:5 for every 1 lb of Spare Ribs
This dish really represents him because it’s so simple & it brings a smile to your face when you eat it. Not just that, but it shows a lot about how with the right “ingredients” and patience that you are being able to turn something that is tough into something tender & loved
These characteristics of simplicity, happiness, patience & care embody and represent my Ah Ye so well
He had this one main winter jacket that was super big and bright yellow. The inside of the hood was green. Whenever he wore it we would call him “Giant Lemon” and he didn’t mind it at all and always laughed with us about it. It was so him.
I hope you enjoy my grandpa’s recipe as much as I do and it brings a smile to your face like his smile does.
