Primary Inspiration
- Ryan is the king of pasta, so I knew a pasta dish was essential to honor his specialty.
- We both share Michelin-star restaurant experience—Ryan at The French Laundry—so I wanted to reflect that technique and creativity.
Secondary Inspiration
- Ryan is known for egg yolk pasta and his “Doubling the Eggs” series. I incorporated that energy into both the dish and the editing style.
- As a big sports fan, Ryan values teamwork. I translated that into the dish by balancing spice, sweetness, crispiness, softness, airiness, and chewiness—each flavor playing a role like a great team does.
