Air Fryer Lemongrass Chicken

I got a lot of requests for this chicken recipe from my Nuoc Mam video so here you go!⁣

This dish is one of my favorites and something I never get bored eating! It’s flavorful, comforting, and crazy easy to make! I also decided to make it air fryer friendly so it’s even faster

I would love for everyone to take away two fundamental concepts in this recipe:⁣
-The marinade⁣
-Treatment of the Protein⁣

Learn to master these concepts and you can apply this to every recipe you make for any protein whether boneless/bone-in, skinless/skin-on, thighs, wings, pork chops, ribs, steaks, etc

The Marinade: Sweet, sour, citrusy, savory, and umami-packed; The perfect balance of all the flavors! By using a blender, the ingredients get broken down smaller so it also helps the ingredients mingle and also easier absorption into whatever you’re marinating⁣

The Protein: Although I’m using skinless, the chicken is still juicy because the citrus from the lime helps to tenderize the meat and the salt content from the soy/fish sauce acts as a brine which brings moisture⁣

Marinate the meat for at least 1 hour or overnight

Cook at 400F for 10 minutes. Extra 5-10 minutes if you like it more charred

Per ~1/2 Cup: 40 Calories 6 Carbs, 0 Fat, 4 Protein⁣

Macros For Cooked Chicken⁣
For Entire Recipe: 366 Calories 6Carb, 12Fat, 63 Protein⁣
Per Drumstick: 73 Calories 1 Carb, 2.5 Fat, 12.5 Protein⁣

Ingredients

  • 5 Drumsticks, skin off⁣

  • 2 Garlic Cloves⁣

  • 1 Medium Shallot⁣

  • 3 Tbsp Minced Lemongrass⁣

  • 2 Tbsp Fish Sauce⁣

  • 1 Tbsp Dark Soy Sauce⁣

  • 2 Tbsp Lime Juice⁣

  • 2 Tsp Sweetener⁣

Directions

  • Add garlic, lemongrass, sweetener, soy sauce, lime juice, and fish sauce. Blend to combine
  • Marinate chicken in this sauce for at least 1 hour or overnight if you can
  • Airfry your chicken at 400 degrees for ten minutes until cooked
  • Serve with my Nuoc Mam recipe and green onions
