Primary Inspiration
- Calvin’s healthy lifestyle & niche as a content creator
- Calvin was learning how to make sushi & sashimi & loved aburi sushi
Secondary Inspiration
- Calvin loves creating high protein dishes, so I used double protein sources: chutoro and Greek yogurt.
- He appreciates fine dining and presentation, so I reimagined a familiar dish with an elegant twist.
- The spirulina crisps and scallions mimic seaweed visually and thematically, like seaweed in water.
- The red sauce in the center also pays homage to Japan’s flag, aside from flavor balance.
